‘Wake up’ call lead Jazz to win over Thunder

Posted

SALT LAKE CITY -- The Oklahoma City Thunder came into Salt Lake City without their two big stars, with Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook out with injuries.

But the Thunder still built a 17-point lead against the Jazz in the first half.  That did not sit well with Jazz head coach Quin Snyder.  He yelled at his team to “wake up” after receiving a technical foul, and that gave the Jazz the spark they needed to rally back and beat the Thunder 98-81.

Alec Burks led the Jazz with 20 points and 14 rebounds.  Trey Burke had 17 points and nine assists, and Enes Kanter added 16 points and 15 rebounds in the win.

The Jazz are now 5-7.
