SUMMIT COUNTY, Utah — A man suffered critical injuries and was flown to a hospital Friday night after a crash involving a car and a motorcycle in Summit County.

Utah Department of Transportation Officials tweeted just before 6 p.m. that Homestead Road was closed at I-80 due to the crash and that eastbound on and off ramps were also closed.

Officials with the Summit County Sheriff’s Office later told FOX 13 News the crash occurred on a portion of road that runs beneath the interstate. A car was making a left turn, and the motorcycle T-boned the car.

The motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital, and officials said he is in critical condition. The identity of the victim has not been released.

FOX 13 News will have more information as it becomes available.
