TACOMA, Wash. – The father-in-law of missing West Valley City mom Susan Cox Powell will face 40 more days in jail after failing to complete court-mandated evaluations.
A Pierce County judge found Steven Powell in violation of completing psycho-sexual evaluations and treatments following his release from jail after 30 months in prison for voyeurism charges.
Powell, who is already in jail awaiting trial on child pornography charges, was ordered Wednesday to 40 more days behind bars.
Powell is the father of Josh Powell, who killed himself and his children in an explosion and house fire. He was arrested on voyeurism after police served a search warrant looking for information about Susan Cox Powell’s disappearance.
Susan vanished from her West Valley City home in 2009. She has never been found.
