Bowl games for Utes, Aggies announced

SALT LAKE CITY — It’s officially bowl season, and every major college program in Utah is going bowling.

It was announced Sunday that the Utah Utes will be going to the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl to face Colorado State University on December 20 at 1:30 p.m. (MT).

The Utes ended their season in the Pac-12 South 5-4, 8-4 overall. The Colorado State Rams are in the Mountain West Conference and finished their regular season 8-2 in conference, 10-2 overall.

The Utah State Aggies will be going to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl on December 20 at 12:20 p.m. (MT).

They will be facing the UTEP Miners from the C-USA conference. The Aggies finished their regular season in the Mountain West at 6-2 in conference play, 9-3 overall. The Miners finished third in their conference at 5-3, 7-5 overall.

The BYU Cougars were invited to the Miami Beach Bowl earlier this year and have been paired with AAC team Memphis on December 22 at 12 p.m. (MT).

The Cougars ended their season 8-4 as an independent. The Memphis Tigers finished their season at 7-1, 9-3 overall.
