PROVO, Utah — The 13th ranked Utah basketball team beat rival BYU 65-61 on Wednesday night at the Marriott Center in Provo. Delon Wright led the Utes with 18 points.
The Utes jumped out to a 13-point lead in the first half, but the Cougars responded with a 14-0 run to take a 31-30 lead at halftime.
But Wright and the Utes took control in the second half and held off a BYU rally to improve to 7-1 this season.
Tyler Haws led BYU with 23 points, and Kyle Collinsworth added 19. BYU falls to 7-3.
