Ogden woman searching for rightful owners after presents delivered by mistake

Posted

OGDEN, Utah -- Charitable acts are more common during the Christmas season, but one woman in Ogden said an act of kindness by someone else has left her with presents delivered by mistake, and she said she wants to find the children the presents were meant for.

Marleine Long said a couple dropped two bags of toys and gifts at her home Wednesday afternoon, but she said the names on the packages don't match up.

Long said she is certain the packages for "Thomas" and "Mickey" were meant to be a gift for children in need, so she has driven around her neighborhood in an attempt to find the rightful recipients. She has not been able to find them, so she is asking the public for help.

The presents were delivered to her home, a brick structure on the corner of 24th and Jackson Streets. The presents were delivered in two plastic bags and were dropped off by a couple around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information about the mystery gifts is asked to email Long at 2marlenelong@gmail.com
