Police seek help finding man who robbed bank in SLC

SALT LAKE CITY – Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying and finding a man accused of robbing a bank Friday morning in Salt Lake City.

According to a press release from Salt Lake City police, the man entered the Brighton Bank at 311 South State St. around 10 a.m. Friday.

The man insinuated that he had a gun and demanded money from a teller, who complied.

The suspect fled and was observed running northbound on State Street.

The man is pictured above and is described as being a white male in his mid 30s who stands about 6-feet 1-inch tall and weighs about 180 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with yellow stitching. Anyone with information about the man or the alleged crime is asked to call police at 801-799-3000. Also, “Anonymous tips may be sent by text to 274637. Please start your text with TIPSLCPD, which routes it to the police department. Then include any relevant information. Reference: case #15-5600.”
