WASHINGTON COUNTY, Utah – A man suffered fatal injuries after he was ejected during a crash that occurred near St. George on I-15 Tuesday afternoon.
According to information from police posted Wednesday, the crash occurred Tuesday around 2:24 p.m. on I-15 near mile marker 16. Troopers responding to reports of a crash observed several cars that had slid off of the highway and onto the shoulder and center divider.
One vehicle went off of the right side of northbound lanes, “vaulted a small cliff and rolled at least two times.” As the vehicle rolled, 80-year-old Lynn Wilde of Leeds was ejected and suffered fatal injuries.
There were no other reports of injuries. Police said they are investigating to determine why the vehicle left the roadway.
