NEW YORK - The Federal Aviation Administration said New York's LaGuardia airport is closed until 7 p.m. after a Delta flight slide off the runway Thursday morning.
Officials said flights from the Salt Lake City International Airport have not been affected.
There are no known injuries as a result and all passengers have been taken off the aircraft, according to New York's fire department.
According to the National Weather Service, there was snow and freezing fog at the airport around the time of the incident.
According to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, the incident involved Delta Flight 1086.
That flight took off shortly after 9 a.m. from Atlanta and landed at LaGuardia airport at 11:05 a.m., according to Delta's website.
