Former USU Aggies strut their stuff for NFL scouts

Posted

LOGAN, Utah – Sixteen former Aggies hit the bench press and field turf Thursday morning in Logan, all with the hopes of impressing 20 NFL scouts.

And nobody served himself better and turned more heads than Joe Hill. The 5-foot, 9-inch tall, 190-pound running-back was clocked in the 40 yard dash at 4.26. To put that in perspective, nobody at this year’s NFL combine ran it that fast--A combine in which no Aggie was invited to play, by the way.

Zach Vigil and Kevin Whimpey also did well. The Mountain West Defensive Player of the Year, Vigil, put up 26 reps on the bench press, which is fantastic for a line-backer. Whimpey, an offensive lineman, put up 39 reps.

FOX 13 Sports’ Morgan Vance spoke with some of the former Aggies about their efforts, see the video above for their comments.
