Woman hit by FrontRunner didn’t see train, injuries not life-threatening

AMERICAN FORK, Utah – A woman is in the hospital after she was hit by a UTA FrontRunner train in American Fork Thursday.

Officials said the 23-year-old woman may have been looking at her phone and was not paying attention when she was hit at the American Fork station at 782 W. 200 S. just after 1 p.m.

UTA said the woman was knocked to the side of the train as it hit her.

Authorities have not given the woman’s identity or condition but said her injuries are not life-threatening.
