Suspect leads police on chase through airport, golf course before arrest

SALT LAKE CITY - A suspect is in custody after leading police on a high-speed chase crashing through fences at the airport and a golf course early Monday morning. 

Police said an officer tried pull over a car that was dragging a bumper on the ground near 4000 W. and the airport at about 3 a.m.

Officers said the driver sped off and crashed through an airport fence and drove onto the tarmac.

The suspect, 39-year-old Leo Green, then went through several more fences before crashing at the Wingpointe Golf Course where police arrested him.

He was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.

No flights were impacted.

Greene is facing a number of charges including running from an officer, driving on a revoked license, driving under the influence and damaging property.
