COTTONWOOD HEIGHTS, Utah – Officers are working to reunite some little ducklings with their mother after they fell into a Cottonwood Heights storm drain Thursday.

Authorities said a woman saw the ducklings fall into the drain and the mother duck in distress.

She called police and officers came to the rescue near 7000 S. and 1300 E.

The officers put the mother duck into a cage and lowered it down to coax her babies inside.

Six of the little ones are on board but they are still working to rescue one last duckling who doesn’t seem convinced.
