TAYLORSVILLE, Utah — A 36-year-old man suffered serious injuries Monday afternoon after he was allegedly stabbed by his younger brother.
Unified Police responded to a residence at 2836 W 5400 S after receiving a report of the stabbing around 2:30. When officers arrived, they found the 18-year-old suspect had fled the scene. According to Lt. Justin Hoyal, Unified Police Department, detectives located the suspect a couple blocks from the scene and took him into custody without incident.
“We believe that there was an argument over money, which ultimately led to an argument inside the house. That argument came outside into the yard, where the stabbing took place,” Hoyal said.
Unified Fire officials transported the victim to Intermountain Medical Center for treatment.
