BOX ELDER COUNTY, Utah – A couple who were driving a semitrailer across country reportedly realized a man they picked up in Eugene, Oregon was a wanted fugitive after they saw his picture on a Most Wanted Facebook page, and that man was arrested by authorities in Box Elder County after the husband distracted the suspect and the wife called police.

According to an article published by the Tremonton Leader and shared on the Box Elder County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, the couple was traveling to Florida and had picked up 75-year-old Michael Charles Dillon, aka Fredrick Charles Dillon, at a truck stop in Eugene.

As they traveled, the wife spotted the man’s picture on Washington’s Most Wanted Facebook page. The couple stopped in Snowville, Utah and the husband kept Dillon busy at a local restaurant while the wife called police, according to the Tremonton Leader.

Police responded, and Tuesday the man was booked into the Box Elder County Jail. It was determined Dillon was wanted in both Washington state and Oregon.
