ALPINE, Utah -- Northbound traffic on I-15 in the Alpine area has been slowed considerably by standing water, though all lanes remain open in the area.
Utah Department of Transportation officials tweeted around 2:24 p.m. that the incident is in the area of mile post 284, north of State Route 92 in the area of Alpine.
A UDOT camera at the scene showed traffic backed up as vehicles slowed to travel through the pool of standing water or came to a stop in order to wait to merge around the water. It was not clear when officials expected the water to be cleared.
