SPANISH FORK, Utah – Police have captured 21-year-old Jordan Willey Wood, who also goes by “Montel Showtime,” who was wanted for stabbing a Springville man.

Springville Police said Wood is accused of stabbing a 22-year-old man in the chest in Springville earlier this week.

Officers found “Showtime” hiding out at a Spanish Fork home Tuesday night.

Authorities also arrested four other people at the home for obstruction of justice and hiding “Showtime” from officers.

Earlier this week witnesses told officers the Springville victim walked to a neighbor’s home and started arguing with a resident there.

As the argument continued, Wood—who does not live at the home—began to insert himself into the argument and at one point pulled out a knife as if he intended to use it in a fight.

The homeowner wanted to stop the fight, told everyone to leave and that he wouldn’t allow fighting at his home.

As the victim started to walk away, Wood reportedly followed him and then lunged with the knife.

The victim suffered a stab wound just beneath the rib cage on his left side.

Authorities said when he ran, the suspect initially chased him.

Police said the victim made it to another neighbor’s home where he called 911.

The victim was taken to a hospital and family members told authorities the knife “barely missed his heart.”
