Officials with Rocky Mountain Power said power is now restored for thousands of residents who were left in the dark Monday morning.

By 11 a.m., power was back on for about 10,000 residents in Midway, Park City and Summit County.

Big Cottonwood Canyon, Brighton and Salt Lake City had the lights back on just before 9 a.m.

Also, Erda, Grantsville and Tooele had power restored just after 9 a.m.

According to Rocky Mountain Power, the outages started before 3 a.m. because of a “transmission interruption.”
