MIDVALE, Utah — A gas line broke in Midvale Thursday night, prompting emergency responders to close a few streets in the area of the break and UTA to set up bus bridges for passengers–but shortly after announcing the bus bridges UTA stated that all rails were back open and the bus bridges had been cancelled.

Unified Fire Authority states the 3-inch gas line broke in the area of 7200 South 600 West, and authorities have closed eastbound 7200 South and the 7200 South exit from southbound I-15.

UTA tweeted about several bus bridges being set up, but a short time later they stated: “All rails back open again. Bus bridges cancelled.”

A traffic camera operated by the Utah Department of Transportation shows several emergency vehicles at the scene. FOX 13 News has reached out to officials for more information and will provide more details as they become available.
