Cyclist in Murray responding to cry for help finds man with gunshot wound

MURRAY, Utah — Police in Murray are investigating after a cyclist heard someone calling for help and discovered a man who had been shot.

According to Murray Police Department personnel, the incident occurred in the area of 5175 Parkside Drive in Murray around 9:23 p.m.

Police at the scene tell FOX 13 News someone on a bike was riding past a home that is under construction when they heard someone calling for help from outside of the home. When the cyclist approached, the individual found a man who had been shot.

The adult male had been shot in the shoulder, but his exact condition or details about how he came to be shot weren’t immediately clear. Police said they are still investigating the incident to determine what happened, and as of about 10:15 p.m. Saturday it wasn’t clear if they were searching for a suspect or not.
