Utah fraternities offering $5,000 reward for arsonist who started fires on Greek Row

SALT LAKE CITY – Two University of Utah fraternities are offering a $5,000 reward for information that helps investigators track down an arsonist.

Firefighters say someone intentionally started the fires at the Beta Theta Pi and Pi Kappa Alpha houses back on July 3; no one was hurt.

Investigators said the suspect used gasoline to start the fires and got into the houses through unlocked doors.

So far they haven’t identified a suspect.
