ST. GEORGE, Utah — More than 200 people gathered in St. George Saturday morning to search for a teenager reported missing earlier this month.

Macin Smith, 17, was last seen in the Little Valley area of St. George on September 1, and while police stated they are investigating the disappearance as a possible runaway his family and friends are very concerned for his safety and are organizing search efforts.

About 240 people participated in search Saturday, which was organized in a grid pattern. Volunteers searched for several hours but were unable to find the teen.

Anyone who sees the teen is asked to contact St. George police at 435-627-4300.
