Bear visits Colorado pizzeria

Posted

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Police and officials from Colorado Parks & Wildlife went to a pizzeria in Colorado Springs during lunchtime Monday, but it wasn’t because they wanted a pie.

Photos posted on the Colorado Springs Police Department’s Facebook page show a young bear inside Louie’s Pizza, at 333 N Tejon St.

“Look who came to lunch at Louie’s Pizza Tejon location,” a posting on the restaurant’s Facebook page said.

According to Colorado Springs police, the bear was first spotted near Palmer High School, which is about two blocks from the restaurant.

Colorado Parks & Wildlife officials wrangled and removed the bear, police said.
