ST. GEORGE, Utah – A judge has ordered Hildale’s water utility to turn over its financial records to the Utah Attorney General’s Office as part of an inquiry over whether money has been siphoned to the Fundamentalist LDS Church.

At a hearing earlier this week, 5th District Court Judge Michael Westfall declined a request by attorney general Sean Reyes’ office to appoint a receiver to oversee Twin City Water Works. However, the judge gave TCWW 10 days to turn over financial records to the state.

Utah has asked for TCWW to be taken over by the courts, alleging money has been funneled from the utility company to FLDS leader Warren Jeffs.

A court hearing has been scheduled for November.
