Amusement park magazine gives Lagoon top honors

FARMINGTON, Utah — “Amusement Today” magazine named Lagoon as its 2015 Park of the Year.

Lagoon was given the award at the publication’s Golden Ticket Awards ceremony held Saturday at Luna Park in Coney Island, NY.

According to a press release, Lagoon was recognized for demonstrating commitment to one of America’s oldest amusement parks by always improving the park and preserving a piece of Utah’s history.

Lagoon has been in operation for 129 years and is America’s largest family-owned amusement park.

FOX 13 and Lagoon have teamed up to offer the Freaky Friday Nights coupon, which gives two people admission to Lagoon’s Frightmares for $53.95 + tax on any Friday night after 5 p.m. from September 18 through October 30. Click here to download the coupon.
