HILDALE, Utah – Hildale and Colorado City will host a public memorial service to honor the families who were killed in the flash floods Sept. 14 in southern Utah.

It will be open to the public Saturday, Sept. 26 at Maxwell Park in Hildale, Utah.

Organizers are asking those who attend to wear modest, formal attire.

Officials said the families will have their own private funeral services this week and are asking for privacy during this time.

The families are also expressing their appreciation for all who have helped in any way.
