Brothers win lottery because they listened to their mom

Posted

GARFIELD HEIGHTS, Ohio -- It's always best to listen to mom. In this case, Christopher and Jay would definitely agree.

According to the Ohio Lottery, the men from Garfield Heights each won $25,000 in the midday September 25 Pick 5 drawing after playing the numbers their mom gave them, according to WJW.

Jay said his mother, Betty Burton, told him to play specific numbers, so he gave them to his brother, Chris. After taxes are taken out, they will each receive $17,750.

Jay told the Ohio Lottery he is going to get his mom something with the winnings. He is also considering asking his mom for numbers to play in Wednesday's $301 million Powerball drawing.
