WAYNE COUNTY, Utah – A juvenile is facing charges that include manslaughter after a man was found dead in Wayne County Sunday morning, and officials said the man died after an altercation that occurred the night before.
According to a press release from Wayne County, the sheriff’s office received report from Richfield Dispatch of a possible homicide around 10:26 a.m. Sunday.
Police responding to a home in Fremont found the body of 32-year-old Jerimiah Randall James.
Investigators determined that, “a verbal and physical altercation had ensued the previous night, with alcohol involved; resulting in the death of Mr. James.”
A male juvenile was taken into custody and booked into the Central Utah Youth Center in Richfield on charges of manslaughter, possession/consumption of alcohol by a minor and possession of marijuana. That juvenile has not been identified, and his age is unknown at this time.
