SALT LAKE CITY - A bicyclist who was hit by a semi near Redwood Road and I-80 has died, and authorities are looking for the driver--who they said may not have realized the collision occurred.

Salt Lake officers said 25-year-old Anthony Johnson was riding his bike at about 6:45 a.m. Wednesday when a semi with two trailers hit him.

Johnson was going northbound on Redwood Rd. and the semi was turning eastbound to get onto I-80.

Officers said they believe Johnson saw the semi but didn't see it was carrying a second trailer and got hit.

Police said they don't think semi driver even realized they hit someone and continued onto the highway.

Authorities are interviewing witnesses and trying to find the driver who hit the bicyclist.
