SALT LAKE COUNTY, Utah – A semi accident blocked I-15 northbound traffic at 5600 S. Wednesday afternoon.

Officials asked drivers to avoid the area.

Authorities have not confirmed what led to the accident.

Update; Crash NB I-15 at 5600 S (SL Co) right lane closed, 5300 S Off ramp closed.

The Utah Department of Public Safety said minor injuries have been reported.
