Police seek man suspected in spree of car thefts, fraudulent credit card purchases

WEBER COUNTY, Utah – Police in northern Utah are asking for the public’s help identifying and finding a man who fled from police during a pursuit and who is wanted in connection with multiple stolen vehicles and fraudulent bank card purchases.

According to a press release from the South Ogden Police Department, the man pictured above fled from Morgan County Sheriff’s Deputies Monday while driving a vehicle reported to be stolen out of Salt Lake City November 12.

The man escaped, and later the same man stole another vehicle in the Mt. Green area. He drove that vehicle to South Ogden before abandoning it and stealing a 2000 Dodge 2500 pickup truck.

The man then traveled to Sandy and South Jordan, and police stated he fraudulently used a credit card at several locations. The card was allegedly stolen from inside one of the stolen vehicles.

The man is believed to be involved, “in multiple vehicle thefts and frauds in South Ogden, Morgan County, Salt Lake County, South Jordan and Weber County.”

Police believe the man lives in the Salt Lake area.
