SALT LAKE CITY -- The holiday display at the Gallivan Center in Salt Lake City has been turned on Friday, and organizers said the display includes more than 400,000 lights. Another large display at the LDS Church's Temple Square is up and running as of Friday.

There were events throughout the afternoon leading up to the lights being turned on at Gallivan Center, including a DJ and an ice-skating Santa Claus.

FOX 13 News' Todd Tanner was at the Gallivan Center ahead of the big reveal, and he has details on a special guest who helped with the lighting ceremony, 3-year-old Tegan Schaerrer--who is battling cancer.

Later Friday night, Todd was at Temple Square. See the video above for a view of both displays and for Todd's report.
