Serves 14-16
Ingredients:
1 1/2 artisan baguettes, cut into 40 slices 1/4 inches thick
8 ounces soft goat cheese, softened
1 pear, halved, cored and minced
1/2 cup honey
1 cup chopped walnuts, toasted
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Arrange the baguette slices in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake until lightly golden, about 15 minutes. Turn the slices over and bake until the second side is lightly golden, about 10 minutes longer. Remove from the oven, let cool, and set aside.
Spread each toast with about 2 teaspoons of the goat cheese. Spoon a scant teaspoon of pears onto each toast. Drizzle each with a generous 1/2 teaspoon of the honey and sprinkle with a generous 1 teaspoon of the walnuts.
