PLEASANT GROVE, Utah – Authorities have released a 911 call received during the Pleasant Grove High School lockdown as officers searched the school for a gunman that turned out to be a hoax.

The 15-year-old student who allegedly made a fraudulent report about a gunman at Pleasant Grove High School in order to get out of a school activity was taken into custody and booked on charges of “False Report and Terroristic Threats.”

The student made the false threat a day after the mass shooting in San Bernardino, California, which had the national on high alert.

About 200 officers and responders went to the school to investigate the alleged gunman threat.

No threat was ever found.
