SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — A man was taken to a hospital in stable condition after he was allegedly stabbed by his nephew Sunday night, and police said the men were arguing about a cell phone bill before the stabbing occurred.
According to a press release from South Jordan Police Department, the incident occurred around 5 p.m. in the area of 10700 South Ozarks Drive.
Police responded and learned that things began when two adult males, an uncle and his nephew, were arguing over a cell phone bill. The altercation occurred outside of the home of the nephew, and ultimately the uncle was stabbed one time as he was standing by he his vehicle.
The victim was taken to a hospital by ambulance and is listed as being in stable condition.
The suspect was taken into custody.
Police said there are no indications that drugs or alcohol were factors in the altercation.
The parties involved have not yet been identified, but police said both men are in their mid-30s.
