NORTH OGDEN, Utah — Officers have identified the woman who died after she was hit by a car in Weber County Thursday night as 50-year-old Brigham City resident Tamara Williams.

Initial reports from authorities mistakenly identified her as being 45 years old.

According to the North Ogden Police Department, a pedestrian was hit by a southbound vehicle on 400 East near 2400 North around 5:42 p.m.

Williams was unconscious and wasn’t breathing when responders arrived and was rushed to the hospital where she later died.

North Ogden PD states the crash did not occur in or near a crosswalk and that the area is not well-lit.
