UTA is offering extended service for riders celebrating on New Year’s Eve.
Officials said TRAX will run every 15 minutes and extend service until after the midnight festivities have ended.
The S-Line will run until 2 a.m., and FrontRunner will provide regular service with one additional northbound and southbound late-night trip for riders traveling home from New Year’s Eve events.
It will offer only ski service and weekend Park City service only on Christmas and New Year’s Day; all other services will be closed.
Regular bus and rail service will be provided on Christmas Eve.
In 2016, UTA plans to increase service on Presidents Day, Pioneer Day (observed) and Black Friday.
Since 2014, UTA has added service on six holidays, adding more holiday service as the budget allows.
