A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until Wednesday afternoon for much of central and southern Utah and the surrounding areas; snow is expected. 
The National Weather Service is predicting accumulations of 4 to 8 inches with higher amounts above 7,500 ft.

Snow is expected to become heavier through the evening and into Wednesday afternoon before tapering off.
Officials said the snow is expected to make driving conditions difficult through the southern mountains.
