MEDFORD, Ore. — The host of “Dirty Jobs” admitted he does look like a man who robbed an Oregon bank on Monday.
The Medford Police Department posted photos on Facebook of a suspect, clad in a hooded sweatshirt and baseball hat, robbing a Chase Bank Monday evening.
On Tuesday, police thanked residents for the tips and joked they issued an arrest warrant for Mike Rowe from the series “Dirty Jobs” on the Discovery Channel.
The TV host caught wind of the robbery and took to his own Facebook page to address any concerns.
“True, I am often attired in a sweatshirt and ball cap, and yes, I do share a certain resemblance with the culprit. I’ve also been spotted in Medford on more than once occasion, (a lovely town by any standard.)” Rowe posted on Wednesday.
He also suggested the suspect could be wearing a Mike Rowe mask.
Police have not apprehended the actual bank robber. As for Rowe, he said he was in Kansas at the time and can prove it.
