Midway Ice Castles now open for 2016 season

MIDWAY, Utah — The fantastical ice structures that have become a tradition in Midway have attracted attention from all around the world in recent years, and the weather-dependent attraction opened this weekend for the 2016 season.

Last year the castles were only open for about three days due to warmer weather, but the owners predict a longer season this year. This weekend was the start of the castle’s  2015-2016 season.

The attraction requires tickets, which are cheaper online than they are at the gate, and their website states they expect to be open until about March. The attraction is open six days a week and is closed on Sundays. Click here for details and ticketing information.
