WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah — A man is dead after being ejected from his car during a rollover crash in West Valley City Saturday morning.
Just after 3 a.m., witnesses called police to report a wrecked car in the middle of the road at 4100 South near 5600 West.
West Valley City police say they found a body quite a distance from the car when they arrived and it appears he was ejected from the vehicle.
“It appears the vehicle was traveling eastbound then went into the westbound lanes then over corrected and hit a berm, which caused it to go airborne and roll,” said Sgt. Bryan Peterson with West Valley police. “We’re unsure of any other vehicles involved.”
Police are investigating if the victim was wearing a seat belt.
The area is expected to be closed until about 8 a.m.
