PROVO, Utah -- James the III of Provo, Bri Ray of Orem, Amber Lynn Stoppel of Provo, and Jenn Blossil of Orem are all honored to represent the Beehive State in the final season of "American Idol."

“Excited to represent Utah." James the III said. "There's a lot of talent in Utah that people don't know about. It will be nice to get out there and show the world."

The four local contestants showed off their skills at Velour in Provo this week and talked about what it means to be a part of the career-launching show.

“It’s quite an honor, to say the least, to be part of something so iconic,” Stoppel said.

Ray added: “It’s such a great platform, such an incredible experience, you meet incredible people, great friends. The whole experience, the whole show is just amazing."

Their family, friends, and local fans are pretty excited too, and they are prepared to do whatever it takes to see a Utahn take home that final prize.

At this point, our local contestants can’t tell us much about the show, as the taped segments have yet to air, so, in the meantime, they’ll let their music do the talking.
