First look at ‘Super Bowl Babies’ commercial, featuring kids conceived following big game

NEW YORK — According to the NFL, data suggests that 9 months after a Super Bowl victory, the winning city will see a rise in births.

In the “Super Bowl Babies” commercial, the NFL and Seal brought together some of the children conceived the evening following the big game and recreated “Kiss From a Rose,” one of the greatest love songs of all time.

The commercial opens with children conceived following the New York Giants Super Bowl victory in 2008. Adults who were conceived following the 1967 Packers win are also featured.

“We wanted to do something that stuck with the theme that also captured the excitement of the game,” NFL chief marketing officer Dawn Hudson told ESPN. “Since it was Super Bowl 50, we also charged our ad firm (Grey New York) to help us look back a little bit while having an optimistic look forward to the future.”
