WEST JORDAN, Utah – A family and two dogs made it safely out of their burning West Jordan home Sunday night.
Authorities said they were called to the fire near 8900 S. and 2240 W. at about 9:30 p.m. and found smoke coming out of the windows and doors when they arrived.
Fire crews said the flames spread to the walls of the basement and chimney but they are still working to figure out where the fire started.
The family is staying with relatives at this time.
