SPANISH FORK, Utah – Authorities have released dash camera video from a Utah Highway Patrol car involved in a recent collision.
The trooper was inside his vehicle off I-15 in Spanish Fork when the crash occurred around 8 a.m. Thursday near milepost 257.
The trooper was recording paperwork following a traffic stop when a vehicle lost control, hit a concrete wall and then slammed into the back of the patrol vehicle, pushing it forward where it impacted the car from the initial traffic stop.
The trooper was taken to a hospital with injuries to his back, neck and arm. He is expected to be OK.
Utah Highway Patrol said this is the fourth trooper in Utah County to be hit in the past two weeks.
