PRESTON, Idaho — Two Utahns were involved in a crash in Preston, Idaho Saturday afternoon that left one person dead and sent another to a hospital.
According to a press release from Idaho State Police, the crash occurred around 1:30 p.m. Saturday at 2000 South and State Street in Preston.
A man driving southbound in a Mitsubishi Galant on State Street crossed over the center barrier and collided with a northbound Ford Fusion.
The driver of the Galant, 36-year-old Brick Bitton of Logan, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.
The driver of the Fusion, 32-year-old Marie Mitchell of Lewiston, Utah, was taken by ground ambulance to Logan Regional Hospital. Her exact condition is unknown.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts.
State Street in Preston was blocked for approximately four hours.
