Police investigate Sleep Number bed scam in South Jordan

SOUTH JORDAN, Utah — Police are investigating several complaints of fraud involving the purchase of Sleep Number beds from a South Jordan resident, authorities confirmed Monday.

South Jordan police believes the suspect, going by Gene, Jim or James, posted ads on various websites selling Sleep Number beds and their parts.

Victims report the suspect required a deposit from prospective buyers after he showed them a demo bed, then promised to deliver a similar bed to the victim’s homes,” according to a press release from police.

If anyone thinks they have been a victim of this scam, they are asked to call South Jordan Police Department at 801-840-4000.
