RIVERDALE, Utah — A man is in serious condition after he lost control of his truck while driving at about 60 mph in Riverdale, and the vehicle impacted several cars before finally crashing into a power pole.
Lt. Casey Warren of the Riverdale Police Department said the man in his 50s lost control of the pickup truck he was driving Friday afternoon as he traveled north.
The man’s truck impacted several parked cars, which sustained minor damage. The truck proceeded north, where it veered off of the road and ultimately struck a power pole at 500 South Riverdale Road.
The man was trapped inside his vehicle for about 20 minutes before emergency crews were able to free him. His name has not been released.
Warren said they are investigating the cause of the crash, including to see if a medical problem, impairment or distraction were factors.
