OGDEN, Utah — SWAT personnel were dispatched to a residence in Ogden Friday evening after wanted fugitive barricaded himself inside, but the suspect ultimately surrendered to police peacefully.

Ogden police confirmed wanted fugitive Jeremy Gallegos was contained in a residence in the area of 29th Street and Jackson Avenue and initially refused to come outside.

SWAT responded to the scene as authorities worked to arrange the man’s surrender. Gallegos’ girlfriend and a couple of children reportedly made it safely outside the residence prior to Gallegos’ arrest.

Gallegos, 27 of Ogden City, is a known gang member and parole fugitive who police say should be considered armed and dangerous. The man fled from police in Riverdale recently.
