DENVER -- The No. 3 seeded University of Utah Utes will open their NCAA Tournament play Thursday in Denver, where they will face No. 14 seeded Fresno State.

Utah is the heavy favorite in the match-up, despite their recent big loss to Oregon in the Pac-12 Tournament championship game.

FOX 13 Sports’ Jeff Rhineer is live in Denver with the Utes as they prepare, see the video above for his report, which includes some comments from Utah players and coaches.

"It wasn't even thought of a couple of years ago that Utah would even be on this stage as a number 3 seed," Loveridge, a senior forward, said.  "It's just exciting for the state and our program."

Brandon Taylor, a senior guard, said they are focused on the game at hand rather than thoughts of this being their last season with Utah.

"This is our last season, our last season in the NCAA tournament, so let's not worry about what we've done in the past," he said. "The only thing we can focus on is Fresno State and this NCAA Tournament."
